Published May 28th by AmazonCrossing first published October 5th The author put a lot of thought and research into The Corpse Reader, but it doesn’t read that way.

There are plot twists that are clear to the astute reader, but the level of interest remains high throughout. First, the hero was supposed to really, really smart. Cadaverres listened the the audio book version of this and the narration wasn’t bad, but i question the author in making two main characters have such similar names that while spelled differently came across as sounding the same out loud.

The story itself is very cdaaveres 3. How it ended certainly helped, even if I still have questions. The second half is much more interesting, opening up a complex murder mystery in the courts of ancient China. All in all, this is a pretty looking book on my shelf that could have been so much more than it was. A little romance lecror a twist in who the real criminals were. When a crime is committed, cadaverex is forced to flee and he returns to the city where his talent for “reading corpses” eventually leads him to the Emperor himself.

Ci Song is based on the first forensic scientist, the one who literally wrote the books on the field. This is another good read that along with the flawed translation also includes passages in Latin. I found this book in a bargain bin and thought it sounded interesting. Set in ancient China around a boy with a knack for forensics. It was so refreshingly new. The book starts out with Ci Song as a scholar who is supported by his grandfather who is a noted scholar.

Ci, the main character, was a real man who lived in China at that time. I really enjoyed this book.

Even though one misfortune after another dogs his footsteps, his talent is recognized by his mentor at the school he once attended and he is able to continue to study.

I’m just not willing to keep on being bummed out by casaveres overlong and needless misadventures indefinitely in the hopes that when the author finally gets back to the forensic science plotline, it will have been worth the depressing yet still kind of boring wait. Cripes, I didn’t sign up for cafaveres tragedy!

I definitly liked the fact that this book is based on one of the earliest forensic medical experts of history; the author cwdaveres a nice balance between fiction and reality. I’ve read through the collection of criticisms and feel obliged to put forth my thoughts about Antonio Garrido’s work.

There were lots of little details like that which made the story come vividly to life. Trivia About The Corpse Reader.

Want to Read saving…. Cadaverew he was supposed to have a genetic disorder that didn’t allow him to feel any pain, but I wouldn’t even have known it, if the text hadn’t reminded me every time it was plot relevant, because Ci didn’t act like it at all.

Ci did not know who to trust until near the end.

Antonio Garrido does a great job with this novel.
