Malmo is also interesting because Rose thinks that she works with the older woman like a long married husband and wife. Why does Rose trust him so much immediately?
Another beautiful aspect to this tale is the romance. It would have taken ages – or maybe forever – until I decided to finally buy it. View all 3 comments. While Rose does form a type of relationship with Malmo and two other females, none of these relationships seems as deep as the editg with her father and brother.
I gave it to her for her birthday on Saturday and she loves it. I love that this family is painted so realistically. One day a huge white bear appears at their door and offers to magically to fix the family’s dire financial and health problems if Rose will to come away with the bear, and she agrees.
Wouldn’t it be more interesting to hear from the sister who was aided by Rose’s going with the bear instead of hearing pattpu silly the mother is, how husband and son seem to reject her?

It didn’t help that every single narrator had the exact same voice, with the sole exception of White Bear, whose reason for talking differently was – you guessed it – plot-mandated.

I liked the portrayal of the trolls and how you get into the mind of the Troll Queen and see some of her motivations better. Rose had to journey to find the man who was the white bear, and her journey wasn’t easy.
The book was a failure in most respects – other than the prose on a sentence level, which as I said before, was actually pretty good.
Quite intriguing, isn’t it? Moreover, I love that Rose never gives up. Get fast, free shipping with Amazon Prime.

I loved her fierce determination, her daring demeanor, and how she never gives up on these impossible tasks that keep coming her way. Simply put, Edith Pattou has created an epic. Alright, I can stop feeling like I’ve polluted GoodReads with a horribly written review.
Rose befriends another servant to try to get closer to where Myk is locked away. I would think I might get tired of rereading the same “story” retold but I don’t. I hope I’ll carve lattou some time to review, but I have to say this is patgou a fairytale retelling should be in my opnion.
The chapters weren’t long so you could just fly through the book with no trouble.
