The bathroom was terrible- far from the sites, dirty, and only one stall. Several popular day-hikes originate from or near the campground and you can also enjoy biking, backpacking, picnicking, star gazing and wildlife viewing.

From Visalia – 62 miles, 1: Children can participate in the Junior Ranger Program. Dorst Campground has campsites. How strong the enforcement is, I have no idea. Be prepared campgground search around for a site as not all of them are terribly flat. Dorst Creek Campground’s central location makes it an excellent basecamp for visiting sites in both Sequoia and Kings Canyon.
