I don’t regret buying the actual book, however, because it was very entertaining. I have a lot of issues with Black Library, but their audiobook quality is not one of them. That being toying with the unknown, employing disenhorn skills and techniques.

It continues to get better from start to finish and leaves you wanting more when it’s over. This little fellow is the bane of Eisenhorn’s life, in many ways!

I wish I found this series earlier! Best of Abnett yet. And Eisenhorn is at some points almost unstoppable, but at other points makes serious mistakes that cost him. They love them some grittiness! It was actually better than I thought. Eisenhorn has an ensemble cast of characters, each who bring something different to the table for and against the ability to succeed in their missions. Live through the politics of the Don’t let the Warhammer connection put you off, this is a great scifi novel – one of my all-time favourites; lovely distopias, great characterisation, a dose of politics, and a solid plot.
