Read it at least twice. Works well as an overview of physio before studying in depth or as a quick review. End-of-chapter USMLE-style questions and a comprehensive end-of-book exam test the student’s problem-solving skills, and clearly explained answers guide the student through the correct steps in reasoning.
I – without a second thought – recommend this book for Med students. She is by far one of the best professors I’ve had. Jun 13, Hamzeh Mousa rated it it was amazing. This edition features increased coverage of pathophysiology, new questions, and a new two-color design and artwork.
This item is not related to current region. My only regret is that I haven’t discover this fine book until my last semester in the basic phase but I’ll be using it for USMLE step one preparing. Indispensable study aid for medical school physiology. But this is a good resource to have, that covers many topics well, but Linda’s opening chapter and Renal Phys sections are best.

As this sort of book goes it’s a good one, but at the end of the day it is a med school text book. Costanzo, PhD, who excels in communicating complex physiology concepts in an accessible manner. A concise outline format and bolded key terms enable efficient review and exam cotsanzo.
