The style of writing is amazing! I say it is a must read book for those who dream about the Land of Hollywood. Their goals are redefined, and they understand their lives better. They can be completed quickly, and more amreekaneesi than not, have a simple and interesting story. Tons and tons of spelling mistakes, grammar has no control anywhere. The cover-page of this book mastera interesting and grabs the attention of the readers.

Atulya Mahajan is an Indian author and is the creator of the Indian satire blog amreekandesi. AmreekanDesi is the perfect book to read, if you want to a fun and easy to read book.
His love with Nandita and the masers he takes to get his love back is well addressed.

This happens for a lot of new authors, and quite frequently these days. When not busy writing hilarious pieces, Atulya works at an investment bank as a technologist. It had good humor, sweet story and the characters were very well developed.
Jassi and Akhil meet in Florida and become roommates. I have given this book two stars – not that it is bad, but because there is scope for a lot of improvement. There is no comprehension about the comedy and drama that the author is able to exhibit even into minute issues. The comments on them by their relatives and familiar people for choosing America over the best institutes in India made me laugh.
He highlights how people change when they live in a foreign land. Atulya has paced the story quite effectively with an equal dose of satire and serious drama whenever the need arises. Another good thing is that the book does not have overdose of sex that most authors think necessary, though I would have liked it better if Jassi aka Jazzminator’s character was underplayed a little.

While bringing out the archetypal experience of an immigrant, the author focuses on an important issue like cultural shock, issues with identity and struggling to have a basic need for survival in a foreign place.
The fact that Atulya has studied in Florida State University and knows the surroundings at the back of his hand, it has surely helped him to pen the characters and the concept beautifully.
Born and raised in Delhi, he moved to the US in for his Masters and stayed on for five years before returning to India, in a Swades-inspired moment.

Writers amegica always comfortable to talk about their era and relive their ameekandesi life through their characters. Refresh and try again. Recommended if you came to use to USA for education. Jul 21, Sidharth rated it it was ok. The negatives for me were firstly that there were quite a few typos in the book; proof-reading could have eliminated those.
His primary objective is always girls and more girls. Also, it touches the subjects of parental pressures, personal ambitions and racism even though they fail to make an overall impact. There are no discussion topics on this book yet.
He also makes sure you cry when Akhil commits suicide. In all a refreshing book.
